Professor Dylan Malagrinò joined La Verne Law as Visiting Assistant Professor of Law in fall 2009 following a teaching fellowship at the University of California at Davis School of Law.  He spent six years in private practice in San Diego, specializing in complex civil litigation including securities fraud and antitrust class actions.  During that time, he prosecuted large class action lawsuits.  Professor Malagrinò also testified at congressional hearings on behalf of the National Collegiate Athletics Association as an expert in prospective and collegiate student-athlete welfare.

Professor Malagrinò's teaching and research interests include property law, comparative property law, law and anthropology, and sports law.  Professor Malagrinò has researched and lectured on property law and comparative property law; classical jurisprudence and legal theory; the laws of kinship, sex and gender in distributions of property; and, law in society from both anthropological and juridical perspectives of normative law and legal institutions.
