University of La Verne College of Law
Law Alumni Association

The University of La Verne College of Law has a long tradition of educating distinguished graduates. Of our over 1,216 total graduates working as members of the legal profession in every area of legal practice, as well as in business and government throughout the United States and abroad, over forty have gone on to serve in the judiciary.

Every University of La Verne College of Law graduate automatically becomes a member of the Alumni Association. The Association's Board of Directors coordinates a variety of programs and activities that encourage continuing alumni involvement with the law school and fellow graduates.

Our alumni are an integral part of the ongoing success of the school. They serve as mentors, sponsors, advisors, and are the source of a far-reaching network opening doors for current students and graduates.

Our active Alumni Association provides numerous opportunities for graduates to serve the School and work closely with current students through the Appellate Advocacy program, our Moot Court competitions, serving on speaker panels, and assisting our students through our Graduate Mentor and Alumni Career Mentoring programs.

During our over 35 years of educating attorneys, the Alumni Association has engaged in a variety of events to bring alumni together with faculty, the law community and our students. In the past, we have held fund-raising golf tournaments, legal community sporting events such as our first of the year Quakes Kick-Off, receptions, speaker panels, CLE programs with alumni guest speakers, awards recognition ceremonies, and networking receptions.

The Alumni Relations Office produces a number of publications to serve the needs of our alumni including a hard-copy magazine, an electronic newsletter and regularly distributed job listing digests.

Reduced e-filing training fees and on-site testing arrangements and MCLE programs are just some of the additional benefits of being a ULV College of Law graduate.

All Career Services Office resources and services are also available for our alumni to use.  Additionally, we have a number of paid subscriber career resources available for our alumni including the Intercollegiate Job Bank, a list of current employment opportunities shared by over 100 ABA law schools, and the new LexisNexis Career site. Additionally, we subscribe to the Government Honors and Internship Handbook produced annually by the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law in Tucson, Arizona and the OSCAR online system for applications for post-graduate federal judicial clerkship opportunities. These services are available to our alumni via a password they can receive by contacting the Alumni Relations Office.

For more information regarding services available for our alumni, please contact Abbie Adams-Yaffe, Assistant Dean, Career Services and Alumni Relations, at (909) 460-2016 or aadams-yaffe@ulv.edu.
