Graduate Mentors

The Graduate Mentors are practicing attorneys who are available to help students improve the skills necessary for law school success. Each of the Graduate Mentors graduated near the top of his or her graduating class and passed the California Bar Examination on the first attempt. One of the current Graduate Mentors was Valedictorian of his class.

Like the PASS Volunteers, the Graduate Mentors are available to meet with students individually or in small groups. They help students improve study- and exam-taking skills by reviewing student briefs and outlines, discussing hypothetical fact patterns with students, and critiquing practice exams written by students. As practicing attorneys, they call on practical experience as well as substantive knowledge when meeting with students.

The Graduate Mentors are available to meet with students without an appointment at posted times, which are scheduled about once a week, in Library Study Room 135. The dates and times are posted to the Academic Support Calendar on Westlaw's TWEN and on the announcement whiteboard on the second floor of the College of Law. The Graduate Mentors are also available to meet with students by appointment at other times, to answer questions via e-mail or telephone, or to review outlines or practice exams via e-mail or fax.

Their contact information and a list of their practice areas and some of their accomplishments are also posted on the Academic Support page on Westlaw's TWEN at Graduate Mentors.
