RANCHO CUCAMONGA COURT COMMISSIONER MICHAEL
GASSNER NAMED ULV COLLEGE OF LAW ALUMNUS OF YEAR
ONTARIO, CA (DEC. 6, 2002) Rancho Cucamonga Court
Commissioner Michael Gassner today was named Distinguished Alumnus
of the Year by the Board of Directors for the University of La
Verne College of Law Alumni Association. Gassner was recognized
at a luncheon in Ontario for his service to the legal community
and his service on the bench.
"We wanted to acknowledge Michaels extraordinary
commitment and service. He is held in very high regard by the
legal community," said Mike Flippin of Flippin and Nasmyth,
and President of the Board of Directors of the Alumni Association.
Commissioner Gassner is a Certified Family Law Specialist. He
was appointed Commissioner of the Superior Court of California,
San Bernardino County in January 1996. In 2001 he was named Judicial
Officer of the Year by the Family Law Section of the California
State Bar. He is past president of the Legal Aid Association of
the Western San Bernardino County Bar Association.
Gassner graduated from the University of La Verne College of Law
earning his Juris Doctorate in 1981. He completed his undergraduate
degree Cum Laude from the University of La Verne in 1978.
