ULV College of Law’s Class of 2006 Employment Report was especially optimistic due to the opportunities available to graduates as a result of the law school’s receipt of provisional ABA accreditation. Students graduating from provisionally ABA-accredited law schools are entitled to the same rights and privileges as students who graduate from fully ABA-accredited law schools. Assistant Dean of Career Services and Alumni Relations Abbie Adams-Yaffe noted, “Many more opportunities are available to our graduates than were available prior to the law school’s receipt of provisional accreditation. Judicial clerkships, many government legal positions and most large law firms require that their candidates have graduated from an ABA-accredited law school. This is the first time our students have had the opportunity to directly pursue many of these types of positions upon graduation.” Prospective employers seeking to obtain more information about recruiting graduates of the University of La Verne College of Law should contact Career Services and Alumni Relations at (909) 460-2016.
