For Immediate Release Contact: Five New Members Named to Law School’s Board of Visitors Ontario, Calif., March10, 2009 –The University of La Verne College of Law is proud to welcome five alumni to its Board of Visitors. Jim Stoneman, Soheila Azizi, Mark Tundis, Kevin Rogan, and Lisa Rogan, were appointed by La Verne Law Dean Allen K. Easley. “These five new members are invaluable to the board,” Easley said. “I’m glad to know that we can lean on them and use their legal expertise in our mission to grow the school.” The Board of Visitors was founded by La Verne Law Dean Emeritus Ken Held in the 1980s. The board advises the dean on key matters concerning the law school and meets twice a year to discuss the school’s long term plans. About the New Board Jim Stoneman practices employment law in Claremont and is a founding member of the California Employment Lawyers Association. Stoneman graduated from La Verne Law in 1980. Soheila Azizi practices family law in Los Angeles and the Inland Empire and serves on the panel of mediators for Inland Valley Arbitration and Mediation Services in Rancho Cucamonga. She is also co-founder and board member of the Women on the Move Network and the Upland Interfaith Council. She graduated from La Verne law in 1993. Mark Tundis, a 1980 graduate of La Verne, has a civil litigation practice in Upland. He handles an array of cases for both individuals and business clients. Kevin Rogan is employed by the City of Riverside as Community Police Review Commission Manager. He retired from the City of Pomona Police Department in 2007 where he was a Captain. Rogan is an attorney and graduated from La Verne Law in 2005. Lisa Rogan is Deputy District Attorney for the San Bernardino County District Attorney gang unit. She is also a former police officer and the first female sergeant in Pomona Police Department history.
