Judge Abraham Khan presides over a civil/criminal trial court in the Pomona Courthouse of the Los Angeles Superior Court. He has been a judge for 15 years. He is also a former Deputy Public Defender, Deputy City Attorney, and Deputy District Attorney. He has more than 30 years of experience in our judicial system and continues to serve the legal community with honor, dedication, and distinction.

Among the highlights of Judge Khan's career are assisting in the design and implementation of one of the nation's first integrated Dial-A-Ride systems for senior citizens and the handicapped, implementing and administering programs aimed at curbing youth gang violence, and developing prosecution programs to assist "battered wives."

As a Deputy Public Defender, Judge Khan gained valuable trial experience and sensitivity for the rights of the criminally accused and the needs of the defense bar. As a Prosecutor, he prosecuted murderers, robbers, burglars, child molesters, and major fraud perpetrators. He was a special prosecutor in the major fraud division of the Los Angles District Attorney's Office, handling high profile and complex litigation.

As a judicial officer, Judge Khan served as Presiding Judge of the Citrus Municipal Court, as a Supervising Judge of the Criminal Courts, and as the Site Judge in the El Monte Courthouse before being appointed to the Superior Court.

Judge Khan has received numerous awards for community service. He has been a member of the Municipal Court Judges Association, California Judges Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, Mexican American Bar Association, National Conference of Christians and Jews and a former advisor to the project Human Efforts Aimed at Vitalizing Youth (H.E.A.V.Y.), the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (N.A.L.E.O.), the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, the California's Asian Judges Association, the Latino Judges Association, and the Presiding Judges Association. Judge Khan sits on the Continuing Judicial Studies Planning Committee, teaches on the New Judge Orientation faculty, and serves as Trustee of the Los Angeles County Law Library.
